October 2015 Ipsy Bag Review

Oct. 24 -2015-

I love monthly subscriptions! Ipsy is by far one of my favorites! I had Birchbox but I just didn’t like it as much as my Ipsy so I cancelled it.

This month’s bag is gold on one side and black patent on the other. I love it! I use the bags to keep small makeup or essentials in my purse. They are great!

OctIpsy

Dr Brandt Microdermabrasion – I’m excited to try this, I have the Dr. Brandt Pore Vacuum and I love it! It totally works, I have some other Dr. Brandt products (full size) and I have nothing but good things to say about them! I love microdermabrasion for exfoliating! It’s a part of my weekly routine to exfoliate my face (and body) at least once a week.

Aurora Gel Effect Nail Laquer – When I first saw the bottle I thought it was a purple-y shade but when I put it on my nail, it’s actually kind of blue. It’s a super dark shade and it dried pretty quickly. I’m not sure about the “gel effect” yet but I will test that out!

Skone Cosmetics Pretty Eyes Automatic Eyeliner in Plum– I thought this would be a really dark purple (going along with the nail polish…) but it’s actually more of an eggplant. I have been crazy about colored eyeliner lately and I was SO excited to get an eyeliner in such a pretty color. I checked out Skone Cosmetic’s website and it comes in three colors so far but I hope they come out with more! I’m thinking about ordered the other two though… as they are $15, not too bad!

The Balm Meet Matt(e) Hughes Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick in Committed – Wow. That’s a mouthful! Goodness! Well, the liquid lipstick craze isn’t going anywhere anytime soon and I haven’t tried the Balm’s yet so I was intrigued. I opened this tube and OMG, the smell is amazing! It smells like a sweet- mint but not too sweet, definitely more on the mint! It goes on really soft and has a powdery texture. It did dry a bit sticky but that doesn’t really bother me. Committed is also a very pretty color, I want to see how it holds up for all day wear before I purchase any full sizes. It does come in eight super pretty shades but I am glad Committed is what came in the bag- it’s a perfect nude shade for me!

Beauty Without Cruelty Fragrance Free Lotion – This is truly a fragrance free lotion, which I think is awesome. It was also super hydrating. I tried it after my shower and my skin stayed moisturized all day, where I live this is a miracle! It did have a bit of a residue- so this is another one I am not sure I would by the full size. I’ll stick with Cetaphil for my unscented lotion of choice.

Alright, loves that’s it for my Ipsy bag!!
